  • The requirement of lactose content in infant formula and infant formula was increased, and the addition of sucrose in infant formula and infant formula was clearly limited;
  • According to the new standard, fructose, sucrose, fructose syrup and other raw materials containing fructose and / or sucrose should not be used as the main carbohydrate sources in infant and older formula;
  • The contents of iron, zinc and phosphorus in soybean based products are separately specified;
  • The choline in infant and older infant formula was adjusted from optional component to essential component, and the manganese and selenium in older infant formula was adjusted from optional component to essential component;
  • If the production enterprise adds bacteria in infant formula food, the number of live bacteria in the product should be ≥ 106 CFU / g (ML), and the bacteria (strain number) should conform to the list of bacteria allowed to be used in infant food issued by the former Ministry of health, the former national health and Family Planning Commission and the National Health Commission

Before the implementation date of the series of standards, food production and business units are allowed and encouraged to implement the standards. After the implementation date of this series of standards, food production and business units, food safety regulatory agencies and inspection agencies shall implement this standard. Food already produced before the implementation date can continue to be sold within the shelf life.
